A Lot of Noise

There was a lot of noise -- shouting and horns being blown -- from the sports area behind our house. This area joins on to the edge of our local park, but only the tall illumination posts can be seen from our upper windows. We obviously had to go and see what was happening...

Amazing! Apparently our new high-grade hockey pitches were being used to host the Hockey World Cup for Over 60s! I know nothing of hockey, but I wouldn't have thought these people were over 60s given the way they were running around and shouting at each other!

But on the way back, I was entertained to see that some of the tents were devoted to 'Physio' and 'First Aid'! In view of the level of activity and the ages of the participants, I was pleased to see that the first-aiders had a good supply of defibrillators on hand.
