Jerry built?

HH fell out of bed at some ungodly hour this morning, but I only woke at 8.30, by which time we should have been almost ready to head down the hill. Instead, we didn’t get away till 11, but made good time and the weather improved steadily all the way, till we arrived in Rio in warm sunshine. And Tuesday is one of Maria’s two days a week with us, so lunch was almost ready by the time we got home and she even helped with unpacking the car and the cold box. Thinks: must come down on Tuesdays more often.
 
Just as we were leaving the house this morning, I realized the little blur of a bird in the photo was zapping back and forth to his newly built nest on the verandah. I hope the family won’t be frightened away when the weather allows us to sit outside more often.
 
Got stuck into some work this afternoon, but had to stop at 6 p.m. when the other contraltos came round so we could practice our parts before a choir rehearsal tomorrow, the last before a choir meet next week. We think we made good progress, tomorrow we’ll find out if we’re right.
 
Now back at the computer faffing about with photos instead of finishing my ‘urgent’ translation…
