The Lone pine

I found a beautiful little courtyard in the otherwise ugly Bankstown hospital. There within was a lone pine tree which had grown from a seed bought back from Gallipolli after WW 1. The tree was originally in the old Lidcombe hospital but when Bankstown was built, the tree was transferred to it's new location. If you have good eyes you can read the plaque which tells the story.
