Life on the edge...

Day 4 - The Wishing Well Band Tour UK/EU

So today, we tried to go through all 19 songs in the set... It was tough going although there were huge improvements... There were also still a lot of mistakes and I was still consulting my music at some points... but it was a good last day of rehearsals...

Tomorrow... We head to Reading (I think/weather pending) to do some street performing... Our first day performing as a band... - although the band has been around for 4/5 years on constant tour, 4 of us are completely new...

Jai - Melbourne - lead singer/Guitarist
Gurgley - Hungary - bass guitar/vocals
Andy - Melbourne - drums
Declan - Belfast - acoustic guitar
BRU - Scotland - lead violinist/vocalist
Riv - US/Melbourne - violin 2
Eva - Hungary - Cello

John - England - roadie!

This gives you an idea of how culturally different we all are. Gurgoo and Eva have some trouble with the English but it is amazing how we all come together in music... - I feel my English as well as my accent are slowly getting worse!!! Ha

Anyway...

We spent all day rehearsing, (8 hours) followed by a BBQ where Dec and I had a few polinkas (Hungarian Peach Schnapps) to which I exclaimed "my face is burning" it has a fair kick!

Then a band meeting about all the simple things, common sense what not to do on tour etc... As helpful as we would all like to be none of us are allowed to lift heavy things... Cases etc... Instruments/set/bags... To maintain our bodies and mainly wrists... It is a hard life as a musician ;)

Anyway... Sleep time... We leave at 8am... YAWNNN...
