An ordinary life....

Room with a View...

Up with the larks as D back to work today so back to me being ready to greet the builders at 8am.

In the end David didn't leave for work till Alan's support worker Kirsten arrived at 9am as he wanted to be here incase Alan was sick again.  He'd been up with him twice during the night and had to strip the bed the second time.

Alan's new bed was due to be delivered this morning but I've postponed delivery till later this week.   Once he was up he was cheery enough and insisting he wanted tummy milk as well as a drink of milk.

Gave him both but within 20 minutes it was out the other end.  Thankfully no sickness though.  That pattern continued for the rest of the afternoon so no more milk, just water.   And he's still cheery.  He is such a trouper.

Will hand in a stool sample tomorrow and the nurse is coming to take bloods so we can rule out infection (just incase it is a colitis flare up)  I've also managed to get the GP to prescribe his colitis and reflux medication in water dissolvable form.  There is a bit of a risk of them blocking his tummy tube as both have a grainy residue.  We will need to make sure his tube is well flushed through with warm water to stop it getting blocked.

For the bulk of the day I've been trying to get my head around Christmas as I really need to get my act together and make decisions around gifts.   Also trying to organise David's 50th birthday.  He wants no fuss but I have to make a little fuss don't I?  :-)
