A moth visits the light

Just as I was going out this evening, this little moth appeared at my study window. I haven't had any moths visiting for some while so just for the record I tried to film it.

I've no idea what type it is or even if it has a name.  We get quite a range of night visitors from the woodland and fields behind the house which this window looks out over.  It is very warm again this evening which might allow it to look for food before the cold really sets in.

There was such poor light, with no time to get my flash set up, so the picture is quite poor. But it is pretty reminder of what goes on outside the window. I imagine it is also food for the bats that sometimes whirl about in the same location.
