Post Office collection

I watched the activity round the main post office for about 30 minutes this afternoon.It is a place to stop and make long mobile phone calls, to meet people, to eat ice cream. I was amazed at the dance of letter posting. A few people have to fumble through bags to find their letter but most people dive in with the letter already in their hand, swoop it into the box and are away in milliseconds. As I usually am, which is why I've never really noticed it before.

Keeping still seemed to make me almost invisible. Hardly anyone held back so as not to be in my shot and three people I knew walked past and didn't see me. (Or perhaps they did but were grateful not to be associated with the mad woman with the camera leaning on the rubbish bin.)

This montage was inspired by this week's challenge word, 'stamp'. Until very recently this picture included a stamp machine to the right, which even had someone using it, but I cropped it.
