Britomart train station

In Auckland, feeling like we've abandoned Christchurch, though this trip has been planned for months. We are all fine, but exhausted with no sleep as the earth rocked and rolled all night. Those poor people up north - around Kaikoura etc. They think the worst has happened, they don't realise the worst is yet to come as the fight starts to get back their lives. The damage is appalling, and if Christchurch is anything to go by they're looking at years of struggle to get infrastructure repaired.
