A Shunday Shadow Shot

We made an afternoon run to try to shoot the super moon, but all my pictures turned out awful. Perhaps we'll try again tomorrow night.

While waiting to leave, I shot the shadow in my driveway. Two things about the silhouette of our state of Michigan:
1. The lower peninsula is called the mitten, and the area that sticks out on the right is called the thumb. If you do live in the lower peninsula, it is the ONLY state where you can turn your hand around, and point to the place you live. Pretty nifty.
2. Our upper peninsula is called the rabbit, for obvious reasons.
