Never forgotten
Long day today but an honour and a privilege to join in the day with Chris and his band of brothers.
The ticket ballot this year was done by the Legion and tickets for admission into Horseguards was by named ticket and photo ID but that didn't stop two intrepid females, who with the help of their husband's, managed to blag their way through.
Once there we took a few photos and then walked through the archway into Whitehall where we had a good view of the proceedings via the big screen...plus some banter with the Chelsea Pensioners and a chance to get a photo of Sergeant Johnson Beharry VC.
Wanting to get back through onto Horseguards we met with a very p.c PC...but Tracey saved the day and another bit of blagging got us back into the parade square where we got to see Prince Charles take the salute, Jeremy Corbyn chatting to a few people and David Cameron walking in the general direction of a pub.....
All in all it was a fabulous emotional day and one for which thanks was given to the countless thousands of servicemen and women who gave their lives for us..
