Tree Sparrow
Clickychick was out with clients all day so I was pottering around at home. Mid morning I was working away on the computer when there was a thump on the window. Birds bumping into the window is not uncommon even with the blinds draw. The feeding station is very close and they seem to flutter while choosing a perch. Normally they just fly on.
This thump was louder than I have heard before so I rushes across to look out expecting to see a dead bird. Fortunately I was wrong and could see this little fella was still breathing. I grabbed the camera and went out to investigate.
By the time I got there it was reviving, so I took a few shots feeling pleased there seemed to be no serious damage. Tree Sparrows are declining so each one is precious. After q few quick shots I carefully placed it on a nearby table. Soon it gathered its composure and flew away. Thank goodness.
