Lest we forget......

A trip to my local cemetery today proved very fruitful, as it seemed nearly every leaf must have fallen from the large maple trees that line the far corner in the last day or two, and the ground was blanketed in a rich russet, yellow and green carpet to the point where some of the curbstones surrounding the graves were completely hidden! 
I found the red silk petals in among the leaves, and thought they looked good on this stone cross - a fitting tribute on Armistice day
