New Forest Drive
Here is the New Forest in Dorset. Believe me, although this part is almost completely lacking in trees, it is a forest and now a National Park. But in the days of William I, it was genuinely 'new' being created as a royal forest in about 1079 for the royal hunt, mainly of deer.
No deer today, no more hunts and only ponies in the distance. At 8:30 in the morning and nearly 200 miles driving it was raining.
Love summer. The weekend should be better. Have a great one.
