Niagara 2: Zip

One way of extracting money from tourists here at Niagara Falls is to persuade them to take a zip wire ride. It starts from a high point in the valley and passes the American Falls (in the background here) and travels 670 metres (2200 feet) all the way down towards the horseshoe falls. I reckon it was about a 30 second ride, for $50 per person. Probably quite a thrill, but I didn't bother.

We had another delightful day here.  We walked on to the Rainbow Bridge which crosses the river and connects Canada to the US.  It confirmed my belief that the views from the Canadian side are better than from the US side.  The bridge itself is no-man's land, and we needed our passports to get back into Canada. I think we were a bit unusual in just visiting the bridge for the view: everyone else seemed to be genuinely crossing the border.

An excellent evening meal at a steak and seafood restaurant with "Canada's only singing servers".  Different!
