Not a Drought

Piled up in a corner of the town car park this morning, I found these. It isn't really Autumn time yet and we most certainly haven't had a drought but months of more or less daily rainfall followed by two days of an Atlantic storm and these leaves decided it was time to quit their hold on the branches and jumped headlong to their doom like so many lemmings.

Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. It most certainly was not caused by a drought. July was the wettest since records bagan.
