Pelican Water

The temperature shot up to 31c today so we waited until late in the afternoon to go for a walk.

Took Toto to the river down by the Crown Casino and it was much cooler and lovely by then. We walked quite a long way and managed to see a lot of water birds. This pelican took the cake with those lovely reflections in the water.

Going for 37c tomorrow but hoping for clear skies to try and get a moon shot!! Got some practice shots of the moon just rising over the Crown Towers and it does look a lot bigger than usual...I know that's usually just an optical illusion but this time it really is closer to the earth. ;o)
