Floppy

Well today I haven't found anything in particular to photograph and not happy with any of the photos I did take.
My husband made the suggestion of opening the dictionary and taking a photo of the first thing that it came up with. I hit on 'monkey'. We don't have any monkeys in the house, so venturing into my son's bedroom (likeliest place to find a monkey) I found his Floppy.

He has had Floppy since the day he was born, was bought just after he went to the NICU. He sleeps with floppy every night, along with blue bear.

Today:
Had an absolutely horrendous drive down to Stonehaven..lashing rain, fog and lots of surface water on the road. At one point I wanted to stop the car and say 'I can't do this!' but of course I couldn't do that.

Got to the dentist, a checkup with a see you in 6 months so wasn't worth that drive down.

REALLY didn't want to drive home again, lol even thought of various ways to get out of it:
1. take the train home and leave the car in the car park and come back for it on a nicer day
2. Stay overnight in a hotel/B&B and go home tomorrow
3. Get my husband to take the train down to come drive us home.

All of the above too stupid really for what is technically a 15 minute drive.

Went to Molly's cafe for what was going to be lunch but I don't like to have lunch at 11.15am so we had bacon rolls instead which were rather yummy, as was the giant glass of hot chocolate.

Then the horrendous drive back home again, just as bad as going there. When I got home I actually felt a bit wobbly legged and had sore hands with the white knuckle ride.

Afternoon played chefville, read Sainsbury's magazine, had 40 winks

Supper: was the Hairy Bikers' Fish stew and garlic croutons.
Now I'm not a lover of stews, I'd have just about anything else but stew...it's peasant food! My husband and daughter LOVE stews! Bleck! But thought I'd be nice and we'd try this one.
It was really nice, even if my daughter decided she wasn't having any of it grrr.

Evening: watched a bit of telly and now here.
