Hudson and Jeeves....

  ..... Cavalier King Charles spaniels, and we had a very happy day today with their humans, our friends John and Marilyn (in my extra). We have met Hudson before but Jeeves was new to us and they really are beautiful dogs and are obviously very happy together. Totally different natures though; Hudson preferring the indoor, quiet life, while Jeeves has to be encouraged back indoors and always brings fruits of the forest with him...

We were ashamed to realise we haven't actually SEEN John and Marilyn for nearly three years but those years were immaterial today and we had a great catch up. So grateful for nudges and faithfulness from them and other mutual friends.  Thank you. 

Just two long journeys both ways, in rain on the way and heavy autumn mist on the way back, plus MUCH traffic. No complaints really. It was a visit well made. 

The Remembrance ceremony from The RAH this evening was both moving and a reminder of the sacrifices made by the many in wars of old and recent times. Never to be forgotten.
