Gateway to the Master's Garden, Magdalene College.

This is the gateway between the Fellows' Garden and the Master's Garden in Magdalene College, Cambs. I wanted a picture from the other side, showing the complete structure in a better light, but couldn't sneak through the locked gate! I stoodback in some bushes, not realising there was holly behind me, but...no pain, no gain. The gate is dedicated to A.C.Benson, a distinguished academic and author, who was Master of the College from 1915 to 1925. His initials are crafted into the gate.
The groundwork for rescuing the fortunes of Magdalene was well and truly laid by A.C.Benson, while his overflowing purse left it's mark on almost every corner of the college.
