Supermoonrise

I'd forgotten about the super moon thing - apparently the moon is closer to earth now than it will be for another 64 years - but I was struck by how large it appeared behind the trees on the shore road as darkness descended this afternoon. It was also a dull gold colour, which doesn't show up on this photo, and it disappeared behind a grey cloud shortly afterwards, so I'm glad I caught it when I did.

I need a better camera ...
