Hill Top Ramblings

Where to start today!
We took the bus! Bit of a novelty for us, and a group ticket for four for all day was £5!
My first visit to the National Rail museum and we had a fascinating time. The Rocket, the Bullet, the Flying Scotsman, and best of all the Mallard! The fastest ever steam engine, got to 126 mph and then blew a gasket. There was also a relief map of the western railways network, with all of the routes around the West Country where I was brought up . It really brings home to you what was lost when Beeching struck. Very nostalgic.
Then, in need of refreshment, we made our way to Patisserie Valerie see extra photo! Enough said.
A little Xmas shopping and then home for a bit of a rest, before setting out again for the Minster and a grand choral concert with Strauss 4 last songs and the Brahms Requiem.
Wow!
