Arcade Life
A train trip to Leeds today - thoroughly enjoyable.
A long time since we have been to the City, and it was not a long journey - although the train was packed in both directions, lots of people standing. It always seems to be like this when we travel by train - except abroad, where it always seems so much more civilised, the trains run on time and there are seats.
The various Arcades are really good. This is the interior of part of County Arcade, my favourite.
The Victoria Gate Centre has been open three weeks. Impressive inside, not so sure about the street facades outside. We had lunch at Le Pain Quotidien - the first one to venture to The North, or indeed anywhere out of London. The extra is of it from the outside. Sort of !
Our feet are very tired tonight. No wonder.
