Valves and flanges

This little sucker I now know to be the cause of no heat or hot water around Planet Pisky this last couple of weeks.

Unbelievably difficult to get a responsive, capable, communicative or available gas engineer around here. I am now keeping this one in my cellar for the foreseeable, but will feed him generously.
