A day at the races

qualifying rounds for the last race of 2016 for moto GP - motor bikes. A great day out in pleasant sunshine although the championship is already decided for all three races which takes the edge off a bit.

We have an apartment on the east side of Valencia - our fourth visit here - and a minute from the wide sandy beach and sea. This time of the year there are few tourists and five of us must double the population. This evening we are eating in with 3 of the group preparing a meal made up of prawns, mussels, salad and baked potatoes. It's lovely to hear the chat coming from the tiny kitchen and now a glass of something has appeared.

Tomorrow is race day.

And the blip: the police presence is high including many on traffic duty; much needed and very effective, also a number on foot and a few on horses. Our friend loves horses and can be seen having a quiet word. Fellow blippers Shepherdess will recognise her.
