Cormorant(Phalacrocorax carbo)
A surprise meeting with a lone Cormorant! He stayed just long enough for a 'head & shoulders' portrait, before he flew off growling and cackling. He was after the Kingfishers prised patch for fishing. They are very 'snaky' looking, especially with those emerald eyes, but that hooked bill looks very much like a serious tool for making short work of catching and ripping apart a fish. Not my favourite bird, but a bird with character!
