Hanging in there...

Dear Diary,

This tiny woodpecker was just adorable hanging out on the feeder.  He is very much smaller than the others so perhaps a juvenile.  I just love how he uses his tail for balance.

I'm hanging in there too after this horrible week.  It is all we can do.  We go on and try to do our usual things knowing that it is now out of our hands.  Being with like-minded people helps too.

I find such comfort in photographing the world around me, even if it is only from my back door.  There is so much beauty in the world and by focusing on that the rest seems to recede.
