Sneaking up on the Chateau de Chillon by Kayak.

A very early paddle from Villeneuve at the end of Lake Geneva gave us the opportunity to visit the water fowl that live along the breakwater there. If you have time look at the 3 photos here you will see some regal grey herons, the biggest birds on Lake Geneva.. From there we took a wonderfully "calm as a millpond" paddle to Montreux then back via the Chateau de Chillon which dates back to 1005! If you think this looks familiar you have either eaten Swiss Lindt chololates or seen a similar blip that I took before from above. To feel the silky water, expand.
