Friday: Remembrance Day

Unlike the UK, Remembrance Day is a public holiday here. I think that's great as it does focus the mind on why you have a day off. Virtually everyone wears poppies here too - again, great, as in the last few years in the UK it has become a contentious issues amongst some communities. That doesn't seem to the case here where I have seen every demographic wearing a poppy.

I was at a Remembrance Day event this morning in Victory Square. Luckily the weather held.
