Split

A foggy morning after cleaning up the brushy top of this half-fallen oak. Over a dozen loads of branches and brush hauled off to burn. Sadly, half of the tree split last July, just up and...kaboom, as oaks are known to do. It is the end of the line for this old tree; the standing half is dead at the core, and threatening to fall into the barn and power line. Our electric company is sending out their tree crew, and by Monday morning the rest of it will be on the ground.
