LEST WE FORGET

. . . Time to Remember . . . 11/11 sits well alongside other memorable dates such as 7/7 and 9/11. We remember these particular events to try and forget . . . and hope they never happen again.
Out of the ashes . . . new hopes are born . . .
Cropton is a small rural village on the North York Moors and it leads a special tribute today. Cropton lost four villagers during WW2 and their presence is marked. Around the village are these four grand seats to enable folk of today to take a rest. Let us remember Fred Dawson, died 29th September 1940, Jim Flintoft, died 15th May 1941, Eric Peirson, died 8Th September 1944, 8/9/44 and James S Cameron, died 18th February 1945. May they and all others Rest In Peace.
