An Autumn Walk
Dear friend B and I combined a trip to the supermarket with a visit to Pensthorpe Natural Park. We've both bought an annual pass to this lovely place and so can pop in whenever we want. There are always lots of interesting wildfowl around, not to mention the red squirrel breeding programme (they are very cute but almost impossible to photograph as they don't stay still for a moment). Combine that with beautiful natural gardens, woodland, a footpath along the river Wensum, a bird hide, an extremely tempting shop and a cafe serving all sorts of naughty cakes...what's not to like!
We were also lucky enough to see a couple of waxwings (sadly too far away for the lens I was using), but that's the first time I've ever seen one, so a real treat.
