Life saver

The Gil Eannes is a former Portuguese hospital ship which is now moored in the harbour of Viana do Castelo. It provided medical support to the Portuguese fishing fleet in the seas of Newfoundland between 1955 and 1973 and has been brilliantly restored. Well worth the visit!
