Still blooming....

A beautiful day today, and these little pink flowers outside my front door are all unexpectedly blooming again!
I'm turning off my comments for a bit as I'll be in Nashville for the weekend  &  in truth, I am sickened by all the negative comments about the election. No matter which candidate was backed, this is our democratic system at work, & the majority voted for a change in leadership. I find it ironic that so many  people are out protesting the very thing that makes our country a democracy--the right to vote for our leader. This isn't anything new--every 4 years comes the potential for change, but is this the new reality; that when people don't get their way they take to the streets and start burning & destroying things, or they want to move to a different country? I can't foresee the future, but I, for one, choose to hope for a better one! One where instead of shouting out our differences we work to find common ground....one where people try to understand each other....one where people come together in a spirit of  co-operation rather than destruction.
