Hydrangea

News from my sister last night that Mum was in hospital with pneumonia and quite poorly. My older brother drove there this morning and found her a bit better after big doses of antibiotics and oxygen so am waiting for a further update later - hopefully a bit better still. I have made some plans in case I have to go down at short notice but will have to see how things progress and don't want too many visitors tiring her out.
Back here life continued and grandson insisted on a further visit to view the bridge works - and was rewarded with a dumper truck and crane moving bags of stones for trench filling.
On the way we passed this huge hydrangea flower (bigger than his head) looking pretty in the dappled sun.
