It felt kind of bananas to be film editing in a muddy field, but all week in-between shaving great lengths off a pine N elm I've been catching sneaky smiley moments from around camp on film and splicing them together in a chaotic but well intentioned manner. As a surprise for the kiddies, we fired up the pedal power and got a wee party going for them as the evening drew in on their overnight camp. The sun came out for the first time in a while and we had us a gorgeous bohemian Thursday evening, with performances and music put on by the kids. As soon as twilight hit, we added the projector into the bicycle powered mix and previewed the film of all their wondrous pursuits throughout the week, it made my heart twinkle as they all chuckled in their innocent high pitched giggles at funny bits I'd caught on camera. As we packed all the clobber up beneath a raging full moon, our eyes felt illuminated with the swelling animated atmosphere, so gratified to be a part of such a heart warmingly wonderful set up, and eager for the next day to begin.
