Wednesday: The Day After
A lazy one-handed shot taken from the car - but I wasn't in the mood to put any effort in today. It's been a dismal day so here's a dismal view to match.
This has been such a weird year where negativity and attacks on certain groups seems to win the day. We are so close to the US here and what happens is so important in setting the tone that I don't think any of us can feel unaffected by yesterday's election. As NannaK says, this is what we felt like after Brexit. And despite her faults, I feel so bad for Hillary. Her far superior qualifications and messaging counted for nothing. I read an interesting article about the differences that the third party candidates made in some states. If those votes had gone to Clinton, it could have made all the difference.
And then there's Fred. His blood tests have shown that he has hyper thyroid issues. This would explain his weight loss and massive appetite (plus some other symptoms we have noticed). There are a few things we can do, none of them perfect, particularly considering his age but we will do what's best for him and what makes him the most comfortable.
