A good read

This was a tougher day than I thought it would be. I'm so saddened at the thought that my country could elect a leader who has based his campaign on hate and intolerance. I have, however, been so grateful today for all the thoughtful, caring, passionate people in my life. Text messages with friends about how we will move forward, Instagram posts about being strong and demonstrating love, and conversations with others who don't accept hate and intolerance in their lives have reminded me that just because our country has chosen this man to be our leader doesn't mean we have to become like him. We will be fine... but man, this really sucks.
