Several creatures of the smaller kind seem to be seeking my attention:
Yesterday an ol' fat spider gave me free practical demonstrations on gift wrapping grasshoppers and basic web repair; last night a baby toad crossed my way and seemed to feel perfectly content sitting in my palm and felt no urge to hop off; this morning a rather obnoxious mimicry fly was intent on boasting and showing off it's black and yellow stripes; later I was shocked to discover another (fortunately smaller) spider hitching a ride on the frame of my glasses and suddenly dangling down on my nose.
Finally this pretty fellow alighted on a patch of sunlight just ahead and remained there poised, turning this way and that, folding and unfolding his wings...
