Autumn rowan

I'm struggling to know what to write on this day of appalling news.

Mr hazelh and I both slept terribly, then I walked to the office (tree blipped on Bruntsfield Links), worked (email shovelling, teaching prep, grant proposal reviewing, two meetings), then caught the bus home much later than is reasonable (again).

I feel desperately sorry for friends and colleagues in the US, and for the rest of the world :-(
