Wareham's other river

The view upstream - and westwards - from Wareham's North Bridge

The wider of the streams (to the left) is the River Piddle, the smaller one is the drain channel from the town's water meadow systems, only part of which is visible in this photo.  The North Mill is about 200 yards/meters up the Piddle.

The river has two other names, the River Trent and the North River.

In the background the town's North Walls can be discerned.  The masonry in the foreground is the town's North Bridge, built in the 17th century and widened in 1846.
