Jacaranda time

Jacarandas are out in bloom in Australia, adding purple splashes to the suburbs.  They are I think indigenous to
Central America but many grow in South Africa also.
Here they flourish in gardens and are often used planted
in avenues, spreading a carpet of purple petals on the roads.
I'm told I learned to walk holding onto a rope between two jacaranda trees, bare feet on soft petals. Mum was such a romantic, bless her.
