Chapman's Ornamental Garden

Chapman's garden, in Emmanuel college, was created in the early 1900's, in honour of the Reverend Arthur Chapman, who  served there. The pond is said to be fed by Hobson's Conduit and is surrounded by plants, weeping willows and a magnificent Dawn Redwood. The pond is often full of ducks who waddle round from the Paddock  pond for a change of scenery and to pick up any tit-bits from around the benches. It looks as though part of the lawn is being re-seeded.
