Lake Wood

What a beautiful morning! Bright sunshine and blue sky! I was wide awake at 6am as my body is still running on Ethiopian time.

I'm so glad that I haven't missed the autumn colour by being away so long. Mum and I went for a walk in Lake Wood, which is only about a quarter of a mile from my parents' house in Uckfield. I wanted to photograph her lying underneath a sweet chestnut tree, surrounded by yellow leaves and prickly chestnut cases, but because I am a kind daughter, I posed her against the trunk of an oak tree instead.
