A day in the great outdoors....

Al and I needed to get out into nature today...and the afternoon was perfect for it!
We went to one of our favorite parks, fed the wild birds (that's Al's hand), didn't feed the sandhill cranes (although one almost put his head in my pocket, saw a hawk, and witnessed a mink catching his dinner.
We saw the mink cross the trail right near the bench we were on, and then heard a scuffle and a squeak.   A few minutes later, the mink brought his prize out of the weeds and paraded down the path in front of us as if showing off.   Poor chippie!!!
It was just lovely to be outside today.
