Chislehurst pond

A very cold and grey day. We went for a walk through the woods in Chislehurst, browsed the shops that were open and had a delicious pizza lunch in Zizi overlooking the pond.

After lunch we walked around the two ponds and felt sad we could not feed the ducks that swam up to us.  A notice warns us against encouraging rats if we dare to throw bread in the water. It also tells us it is very bad for the waterfowl..  Strangely enough our ducks and geese prefer any bread or cake we give them rather than the specialist poultry feed we provide them with.

Back through the woods in a slight shower with a lovely rainbow in the dark sky.
