Sugar had  normal sort of Wednesday, while I started a 3-day training to become a Lactation Educator.  Good times.  Great subject, and learning so much new science around human milk.  The human body is incredible, and makes be feel powerful knowing how my own body responded to my baby and made milk just for her.  How her body communicated with my body, and reacted in just the right way to protect her....and help her grow. 

I'm feeling pretty angry with our country though.  This BIG BUSINESS stuff is killing us.  Money...money...money.  No one cares that this GREED is putting us all in danger.  The ingredients in baby formula makes me so mad.  The lying in advertising.......the PUSH...PUSH....PUSH, so that folks will buy their product.  It hurts my heart.  Breast is best.  There is no substitute for human milk for human babies.  In fact, the World Health Organization agrees that baby formula should be the 4th choice for feeding our babies.  It is necessary.....and it has it's place, and it saves lives.  I just wish the government cared enough to make this life saving formula to a standard that one could feel completely comfortable nourishing their children with it.  (I know that some might get angry at me for this opinion...but it is scientifically proven that formula is not where near the same at human milk).  I just want those that do choose....or need to use formula have a product that is safest for their babies. sigh...I'm tired of the food in our country being sub-par.
