Looking Across the River

A lovely fall day and we took a long hike south up over the hill behind our house. At the crest, we looked across the Columbia River and down onto The Dalles Dam and the bridge. The Dalles, Oregon rises up from the river and in this B&W photo, one can see the variety of folds and crenelations in the landscape.

The extra is another view of the Columbia River further west, taken from near the top of our property on the north side of Stacker Butte. It was a wonderful afternoon of exploration and enjoyment.
