This pile of wood is officially part mine.
Well, in as much as I start as workshop leader tomorrow so I'm partly responsible for the planking, drying and eventual using of said wood.
In less than a year, I've gone from not having done any woodworking for about 8 years, to being an assistant in a woodworkshop to jobsharing with a legend in her field as a joinery workshop leader. To say that I'm nervous would be an understatement but I've had many supportive sentiments from friends and colleagues which will definitely make the first couple of weeks slightly easier.
Saying that, I'm really looking forward to a pint after work tomorrow and a trip to the roller derby with Scarlet Haberdashery.
