Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Head of the Lake

The last rowing race of the season hit it lucky today after the recent deluge of rain… cloudy, but warm and pretty calm.   I didn't even realize this was today until we got ready for a walk and I saw all the boats.   These are getting ready for the start.   I used to participate but somehow I don’t miss this racing part, and frankly most of my rowing photos are pretty dull.  What I liked about this photo is all the rooftop details of this group of floating homes from this spot a bit north of our building, a little different perspective than from our roof... .  (and yes, we voted yes for I-732, a very complicated carbon tax initiative)

After such a quiet week, it was a cultural feast for our ears and eyes this weekend — An Early Music concert last night in St. James Cathedral—featuring voice and cornetto, (weirdly voice like,) with music from the 16th and 17th C.  "Breathtaking" .   And this afternoon, a very modern 21st C very athletic dance with some electronic music thrown in with other recorded strings etc.....a performance made possible by a friend who supports the arts in a big way.   "An Attic An Exit.". it was fascinating.
And tonight I think we'll watch "Poldark" that we recorded last week...
