André Kuipers

Today we went to a lecture by André Kuipers, the Dutch astronaut who was on a 193 day mission to the International Space Station a couple of years ago. He talked about preparations, the launch, life in the station, the return to earth and life after the mission. Nienke, Inge and Ellis were with us and even though André talked for about two and a half hours, the girls remained very interested and involved.

Afterwards I waited in line for another hour together with Inge, to get a book and to get it signed by André Kuipers. And for a photo, of course. A brilliant afternoon!
